The Stevie Awards were created in 2002 to thank businesses and the people who operate them for providing a high quality public service. Every year companies from all across the United States are nominated for consideration in more than 40 categories, and each group is slowly narrowed down to a few finalists. All of the finalists are meticulously reviewed by a distinguished panel of judges who have the monumental task of deciding which company they felt offered the greatest contributions to the business world and the American public.

Who’s Calling, Please?

It happens to all of us. You’re in the middle of something – maybe making dinner or watching a great movie – and the phone rings. Since everyone should know exactly how busy you are at that moment, you assume the call must be important and jump up to answer. You grab the phone, take a quick peek to make sure it really is someone you want to talk to and find out the caller is … a complete mystery.

Your curiosity is peaked, but you don’t answer. Yes, you’re feeling adventurous, but not quite bold enough to take a call from a number you don’t recognize. Of course you have an Ace up your sleeve; you’ll just wait a minute, listen to the message and determine if it’s worth calling back. But you’re trumped! There is no message and you have no idea who called, or why!
