A National Day Of Hope

Hope. It keeps us going when times are bad. It gives us courage when we’re weak. It helps us through our darkest hours. Everyone deserves hope.

More than 3 million reports of child abuse are recorded in the United States every year. Victims of abuse may feel they have no way out. They might believe no one will help them. These young children can easily lose hope. But we can show them we care.

April Is Child Abuse Prevention Month

child abuse prevention month logoMany adults might not spend much time thinking about child abuse. The very idea seems absurd to most people. How could an adult intentionally harm a child?

Tragically, the truth is many children are abused physically, emotionally and sexually. It’s a tough topic, but one that needs to be addressed. That’s why April is designated as National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
