It seems as if with all of the available technology, finding someone would be easy. Doing a quick people search can help you find relatives, old classmates or friends. There are cases, however, when it seems as if loved ones fall off the face of the Earth and there is no hope of finding them.

What Is The International Day Of The Disappeared?

The International Day of the Disappeared was started with the hope of finding those lost in war, conflict, violence or no known cause. The hope is to bring together families and loved ones torn apart from life’s most unusual events. In many cases, those missing are military personnel, though they may also be civilian victims of the war as well. This annual day of remembrance held on August 30th highlights the struggles of loved ones, and recognizes the importance of finding and bringing home the missing. Volunteers and others devoted to the cause have made it a point to offer services in many countries of the world.
