Not all sex offenders are sickos. Did you know that seventeen year old boys can be convicted as "sex offenders" for fondling their sixteen year old girlfriends? A drunk who doesn't even know what he is doing can be convicted for groping a woman's breast? There's a lot of over reaction because everyone thinks of child molesters, pedophiles, etc.---and this may just be one more case where the government is given too much power. How would you like your seventeen year old son convicted as a "sex offender" sentenced to prison and then incarcerated for life (???) because he had his hands in an inappropriate place? We should err on the side of common sense and not let the government do whatever it likes.

Has anyone even considered the fact that some of these "offenders are not even guilty? Yes, they have been convicted, but some of those convictions were due to plea bargains because the defendent was scared to go to trial! So, yes, some common sense should be applied to this issue!
